StyleDrop is an AI tool developed by Google Research that enables the generation of images in any specific style. Powered by Muse, a text-to-image generative vision transformer, StyleDrop is designed to capture nuanced details of a user-provided style including color schemes, shading, design patterns, and local and global effects.
The tool achieves this by fine-tuning a small number of trainable parameters, less than 1% of the model’s total parameters. It can further enhance the image quality through iterative training and can even produce impressive results with just a single image as the style reference.Compared to other methods such as DreamBooth and Textual Inversion, StyleDrop convincingly outperforms in style tuning text-to-image models, as demonstrated by an extensive study.
