Opera’s new browser AI, Aria, is a free service integrated into the Opera browser, available in more than 180 countries including the EU, as early access on versions of Opera for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android.
Aria is a result of Opera’s collaboration with OpenAI and enables users to access real-time information from the web. The service is based on Opera’s own “Composer” infrastructure and connects to OpenAI’s GPT technology, allowing users to enhance their productivity and creativity through AI-powered functionalities.
Aria is both a web and browser expert that enables users to collaborate with AI in generating text or code, looking for information on the web, and getting product queries answered.
Additionally, Aria is also knowledgeable about Opera’s entire database of support documentation so it can answer users’ questions. The browser AI is designed to be expandable by connecting to multiple AI models and integrating additional capabilities, including search services powered by Opera’s key partners.
Opera’s strategy is to integrate generative AI services into its browsers, and Aria marks the next step in achieving it. Users can test Aria by downloading the newest version of Opera One or the latest beta version of Opera for Android, and creating an Opera account.
